The stigma that surrounds people with disabilities, Stigma is unfair and disrespectful, and hurtful to people with disabilities of any kind. They can't get jobs or housing, or when you are sick with a mental illness, some people want to stay away from you, or want to avoid you or some people don't want to visit you in the hospital, I am here and other self advocates to say enough is enough, we need to stomp out stigma and discrimination in society around all disabilities including but not limited to mental health issues. . when you are sick with cancer or any other physical health problem people show compassion, when sick with a mental illness they want to stay away because they are afraid. what's different with mental health issues? people should try to show more compassion, kindness and love in this world and try not to stigmatize.
